Products on conveyor belts

Plate magnets are used to remove ferrous materials from the material flow on conveyor belts, in free-fall in vertical or inclined pipelines, under cliffs and chutes, etc.

This type of plate magnet is equipped with powerful ceramic magnets that are mounted in such a way that an extra strong, deep magnetic field is formed.
This type of plate magnet is provided with a steel plate on the back with threaded holes for installation. The standard range includes magnets in a variety of sizes - virtually any size can be made to order. To make the cleaning of the flat magnet fast and accurate, they can be supplied with a cleaning sheet which can either be manually or pneumatically driven.

If the magnet is installed in a location that is difficult to reach, the pneumatic tool is most suitable. The pneumatic function fulfills all ISO and CETOP standards.
The main application for the over-belt magnet system is the separation of ferrous metal from material on a conveyor belt. To do this, they are installed across the conveyor. The magnetic system picks up the ferrous particles from the material flow that passes under, and then release them into a collection container when they leave the magnetic field.
The workspace on the magnets are protected by a stainless steel plate that takes up the wear and tear. This type of system for iron separation is often used in industries to prevent iron particles damaging production machines such as mills.

A growing application area is the recycling industry, often in combination with eddy current separators for non-ferrous metals. Our over-belt magnet system comes as two main types, one that uses permanent magnets and the other with electromagnets. The latter for effective field depth of > 500 mm.
This type of iron separation system is equipped with powerful permanent magnets. Standard drive system for over-belt magnets is a drum motor. Over-belt systems are equipped with a belt tensioner and thanks to the convex shape of the drum, the band is self-centering. The band is made of synthetic vulcanized rubber.
The electrical connection complies with standard IP 54 or, if necessary, IP 65 and the power supply is standard 3 x 380 V. Systems are available for other voltages as required.

Some types can be supplied as "stretched" versions. These are a section added as a continuation of the main section. This section produces a change in the magnetic field allowing the iron particles on the belt to move so that any non-iron particles that have been fixed by the iron particles can fall back to the material flow. This means less pollution in iron collection. The "extended" versions can only be installed with the belt running in the same direction as the conveyor belt.
Waste and recycling industry uses other separation systems than those previously described.

This part of the industry is trying to insulate raw materials from other waste in an environmentally sound manner so that metals can be recycled economically. Conventional systems such as the belt system, separation drums have improved in recent years and more functionality has been added. Additionally, several types are equipped with neodymium magnet systems.
Eddy current separators for non-ferrous metals has a special position. We have recently introduced a second generation of eddy current separators for non-ferrous metals. Efficiency has increased dramatically with the introduction of a brand new 18-pole magnetic cylinder.

For many applications the separation
almost reaches 100%.
Recent tests in the glass recycling industry showed, for example, an efficiency of 99.8%.

Magnetic drum separtors contains two sectors - one magnetic, one not. There is a drum that rotates outside these and over in which the material flows or falls. To help with the separation process, the drum is provided with cleats.

The material falling on the magnetic part of the drum and iron particles sticks to the drum due to the magnetic field. They then fall off when the magnetic sector is removed and can then be collected separately.

The illustrations here helps to explain the principle.
The drum is made of stainless steel and features a rotating, and a stationary shaft. The rotating shaft drives the drum, the stationary is used to position the magnetic field. The magnetic field covers 180°.
Bearing block is included. Drum magnets are fitted with permanent ceramic magnet system.
Diameter at 215 and 315 mm can also be equipped with the extra powerful neodymium magnet system.

Waste management and recycling industry.
We supply equipment of the new generation of e
ddy current separators, systems for non-ferrous metals for use in, for example, waste management and recycling industries.

Through the introduction of a brand new 18-pole magnet cylinder efficiency has increased significantly. In many applications, the separation can reach almost 100%. In recent tests conducted in the glass recycling industry it reached 99.8 % efficiency.

In addition to the new generation of our eddy current separators, systems for the separation of non-ferrous metals, we supply systems equipped with the conventional 12-pole magnetic cylinder. These systems are suitable for removing non-ferrous particles bigger than 9 mm. Our metal separators with the new generation of magnetic cylinder is optimized to separate particles larger than 2 mm.

Products for free-fall

Magnets can also be mounted in this way.
The magnetic surface that comes in contact with the flow of material is made of stainless steel (AISI 304).
This type of plate magnets is provided with a steel plate on the back with threaded holes for installation. The standard range includes magnets in a variety of sizes - virtually any size can be made to order. To make cleaning of the plate magnet as fast and accurate as possible, they can be supplied with a cleaning sheet which can either be manually or pneumatically driven.

If the magnet is installed in a location that is difficult to reach, the pneumatic tool is more suitable. The pneumatic function fulfills all ISO and CETOP standards.

Permanent tube magnets are used where manual cleaning is possible. A guide flange is positioned within the housing which ensures that the material to be purified is well spread out when it comes in contact with the magnetic core.

The housing of this type of tube magnet has a door providing access to the magnetic core for cleaning. The standard housing is made of 4 mm thick steel. A model in stainless steel (AISI 304) can be supplied to order.

Also available in hygiene versions. These are particularly suitable for use in cases where very strict hygiene requirements is required for the raw materials to be processed. On request, a model that is intended for use under pressure is can be delivered.

In addition to the standard sizes of flanges, flanges according to customer specifications are supplied.
Separate magnets for installing in existing housings are available.

Tube magnets

Tube magnets has a number of advantages for amany applications, especially in the removal of metal contaminants from powdered raw materials because the risk of bridging is virtually nonexistent. This type is also very suitable for removing iron contamination from material streams containing solids, such as shredded wood or plastic. Cleaning of the system is relatively simple.

Our tube magnet system is equipped with powerful FDA / C flat magnets. The housing is made of stainless steel with the undrilled flat flanges. The system can also be supplied in a steel housing.

For installation in environments where very stringent hygiene standards are required, this type also comes in a health model. As an option, our external tube magnet system is equipped with two stainless steel intermediate plates affixed to the door to simplify cleaning of the system easier. There is also a version with a cleaning box.

Hygiene model

Many of our iron separation systems are available in so-called hygiene models. These models are particularly suitable for the food industry and other applications where high sanitary standards are required.

The hygiene system is built entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel. If necessary, they are manufactured in AISI 316 stainless steel.

Special attention has been paid to the surface finish (sandblasted inside and out). All hygiene models are fitted with flanges, conforming to DIN 2576 ND 10th

Both the design and manufacturing is carefully done to ensure that it is almost impossible for the material residue to accumulate.

Cascade magnet system

Cascade magnet systems are used in situations where iron particles must be removed carefully from large quantities of raw materials. Cascade systems is available as manual and automatic models and are built tough with a 4mm thick body made of stainless steel or regular steel.

Our systems have a wide range of applications and is easily integrated into existing systems.
A valve box is built into the cascade system to remove the iron particles that have been collected. When the valve box is opened, the magnets turne away and the iron particles will then fall out of the system via the side exit.
Both manual and pneumatic versions are available for all models.

With the pneumatic version, a push of a button is sufficient to remove all the iron particles that have collected in the valve box chamber. Optionally, this type is provided with an electrically controlled valve.

All components of the pneumatic system complies with ISO and CETOP standards.
As an option, the automatic system can be equipped with a pressure tank that enables the system to be in operation when the supply of compressed air is lost.

If required, all models is fitted with portholes and / or wear plates in manganese steel.
Cascade magnet systems is equipped with the FDA magnets as standard. If required, they can be supplied with or FDL FDL / C system.

Products for piping

These magnetic filters are used to filter the iron particles from liquids and are often used in hydraulic circuits and cooling system.

The magnet system is constructed of ceramic magnets and the unit is built into a housing made of stainless steel (AISI 304). The system can be easily removed for cleaning by a number of quick couplers.
A special double-walled version is available for use in heated management systems (for example, for the separation of iron particles from melted chocolate and cheese). Our magnetic filters are available in several versions for special applications.

For situations with extreme conditions of iron separation and / or small iron particles (p-field), the system can be equipped with neodymium magnets.
A special version is available for applications with high pressure. Hygiene models are also available for use in, for example the food industry.

For treatment of large quantities of raw materials, high capacity versions are  delivered. Those versions have a treatment capacity from 1000 to 8500 I/minute.

Permanent magnetic bars

Permanent magnetic bars can be placed in closed pipe systems, hoppers, chutes, etc. to separate ferrous particles from the material passing the grate.

In order to ensure protection against corrosion and wear, and to provide good mechanical performance, all areas of the house which are in contact with the material to be decontaminated is made of stainless steel (AISI 304).

By careful calculation of the dimensions of the system, the resistance of the material passing and the risk of bridge formation is minimal.

Our permanent magnetic bars with ceramic magnets are suitable for temperatures up to 150° C.

For applications where a larger magnetic strength is required, magnetic bars with neodymium magnets are available. These can be used at temperatures up to 90° C.

There is also an version with a removable, adjustable magnetic system for easy and thorough cleaning.

MAGBOX: a complete iron separation unit for installation in pipe systems.

This type of iron separation unit can be easily installed in existing piping systems. In the standard version, each unit has two magnetic bars mounted one above the other. For special applications versions with several bars are available.

The diameter of the magnetic poles of the bars are 23 mm. The racks can be easily removed for cleaning by opening the flap on the front. Magbox comes complete with flanges. Non-standard versions available on special order. By default, the iron separation units equipped with ceramic magnet bars in a steel housing.

If required, versions with stainless steel housing (AISI 304) can be delivered. Versions that use neodymium magnets for separation of particles in the p-area is always supplied in stainless steel housing. The range also includes hygiene
models. These are semi-automatic cleaning system - the system can be cleaned with only two actions.
Here you can see an automatically cleaned permanent magnetic bars.

These types of ferrous separation systems can be integrated into virtually any (existing) pipeline system, thanks to its compact dimensions. Through the touch of a button it removes the iron particles collected from the material flow from the
stainless steel attraction elements. The fine grid, along with the a strong magnetic field ensures accurate separation of iron particles.
The system is very maintenance-friendly. The components most likely to wear out are replace very easily.

The system can be operated either electrically or pneumatically - very flexible. This makes these systems ideal for use in automated systems.
