Hydrodynamics in sluices

This is a heavy article. However, it can be of great help to those who want to construct their own gold sluices. Hydrodynamics (the movement of water) is incredibly complicated.

Up chute

Usually - not to say always - sink drains slope downwards. When it comes to micro gold, there is a risk that this will be washed out of the gutter with the water and lost.

Vulcan craving

I made a little gold suction which I thought was fun. The principle is quite simple and the solution is very easy and cheap.

Damming a stream

Dam up a stream in a quarter of an hour. A number of studs are screwed together so that they 'clamp' a double-fold, reinforced tarpaulin.
